Zu Beginn der 1970er Jahre revolutioniert in Argentinien die Erfindung eines kostengünstigen, in seine Einzelteile zerlegbaren Pools, genannt Pelopincho, die Sommer derer, die es sich nicht leisten können, in den Urlaub zu fahren. Aufgestellt im Innenhof, im Garten, auf der Terrasse oder dem Balkon, ist der Pelopincho bis heute ikonischer Bestandteil der urbanen Landschaft argentinischer Städte.
In „Patio Pileta – Innenhofpool“ zeichnet eine Performerin die Geschichte dieses Objekts nach und begibt sich auf die Spuren ihrer Kindheit in den 1990er Jahren in einem Vorort von Buenos Aires bis sie schließlich in die Gegenwart ihres jetzigen Lebens in Berlin gelangt. Was geschieht mit ihr, wenn sie jene Sommertage des Pools im heimischen Innenhof heraufbeschwört? Welche sie bis heute prägenden Relikte ihrer Kindheit kommen zum Vorschein? Wie kann aus Nostalgie ein Akt der Gegenwart werden?
„Patio Pileta – Innenhofpool“ erzählt mit Sensibilität und Humor von Migration und erkundet die Widersprüche der verschiedenen Phasen des Lebens einer selbstbestimmten Auswanderung. Mit dem Pelopincho im Zentrum gibt das Stück dabei den unterschiedlichen Bedeutungsebenen Raum, die ein Gegenstand im Laufe unseres Lebens annehmen kann.

A comienzos de los setenta en la Argentina, la invención de una pileta de lona desmontable y de bajo costo, conocida como “la Pelopincho”, revoluciona los veranos de quienes no pueden irse de vacaciones. Armadas en patios, terrazas, jardines y hasta en balcones, las Pelopincho son, hasta hoy en día, una parte icónica de los paisajes urbanos del país.
Una performer recorre la historia de este objeto, visitando los rastros de su infancia en los años noventa en el conurbano bonaerense, hasta llegar al tiempo de su vida actual en Berlín. ¿Qué ocurre con ella al evocar las vivencias acontecidas durante los días de patio y pileta? ¿Qué vestigios de la infancia se desdoblan, moldeándola? ¿Cómo hacer de la nostalgia un acto del presente?
“Patio Pileta – Innenhofpool” explora, con sensibilidad y humor, las contradicciones de un movimiento migratorio voluntario en sus diferentes etapas, y da lugar a las múltiples significaciones que un objeto puede contener a lo largo de nuestras vidas.

In the early 1970s in Argentina, the invention of a low-cost dismountable tarpaulin swimming pool, known as "la Pelopincho", revolutionised the summer for those who could not afford to go on holiday. Installed on patios, terraces, gardens and even balconies, the Pelopincho is still an iconic part of the country's urban landscape.
In "Patio Pileta – Innenhofpool" a performer traces the history of this object, travelling back to her childhood in the 1990s in a suburb of Buenos Aires and arriving at the present of her current life in Berlin. What happens to her when she evokes those summer days by the pool in the courtyard of her home? What remnants of her childhood continue to shape her today? How can nostalgia become an act of the present?
"Patio Pileta – Innenhofpool" explores, with sensitivity and humour, the contradictions of a voluntary migration in its different stages, and gives way to the multiple meanings that an object can contain throughout our lives.
